Eleanor Farr MA

Artist & Lecturer | New Forest & South Coast

Eleanor Farr MA is a British landscape & floral painter whose work is rooted in the light, colour, and movement of the coast. Raised in the New Forest and along the South Coast, she developed a lifelong connection to the sea and the landscapes of southern England before studying Fine Art at Falmouth University, one of the UK's leading centres for contemporary art practice.

After completing her degree, Eleanor undertook a drawing masterclass at the Slade School of Fine Art to hone her drawing skills before embarking on her Master’s Degree.

Her time in Cornwall proved formative. Immersed in the painterly tradition of the far west, Eleanor developed a fluent, expressive approach to coastal painting: capturing fleeting atmospheres, shifting tides, and the quiet drama of cliffs and coves. That Cornish sensibility remains at the heart of her practice today.

Alongside her studio work, Eleanor has pursued a parallel career as an art lecturer, bringing the same close observation and passion for mark-making to her teaching. Her paintings are held in private collections across the UK and internationally.
